iCom M802
Marine HF/SSB
radio with AT140 tuner, speaker, and all required
cables INCLUDING a KISS groundplane (works fantastically well) and a reasonable length of very high quality Ancor HF cable to run to the tuner (trim to your required length, of course).
It's literally a complete kit, wire everything up, provide
power, and string the
antenna somewhere, and you'll be talking
SSB HF radio with the rest of the 'net!

I'm only selling it as a complete package, everything is in great working shape,
radio is only 3 years old and was only installed on my
boat for a year. I loved it, but I
sold the
boat, kept the radio, and have since decided that I'm going to start focusing more on smaller watercraft for a while.
So, here's the whole kit that I'm selling, with all
parts listed:
- iCom M802 SSB HF Marine Radio with remote display, microphone, display cable.
- iCom AT-140 HF SSB automatic antenna tuner
- iCom OPC-1147N tuner control/power cable for AT-140
- iCom SP-24 speaker
- KISS-SSB HF groundplane for antenna tuner
- Ancor RG213 HF coaxial cable, approximately 4 metres, with high quality silver PL-259 connectors on both ends
- SSB HF 35-foot pre-tuned antenna directly wired to AT-140 (can be replaced with any antenna cable you prefer)
- BNC-to-NMEA 0183 GPS interface cable for M802
- DSC receiver antenna for M802
- XAXERO line filter for clearer HF weatherfax reception to a laptop computer
The nice thing about this antenna is that you can slip it inside a single-braid
rope core (such as
dyneema or even
cheap polypro floating line) and hoist it aloft when you want to transmit (or leave it hoisted alongside a synthetic running backstay, for instance), taking it down when you don't. No expensive
rigging isolators and easy-to-fail backstay couplers necessary. This is how I operated it successfully for a year of coastal and near-offshore cruising with excellent results.
Naturally, if you want to do it the traditional way, nothing is stopping you!
All of these items were stored and installed belowdecks on a very dry boat (well, except the antenna of course) and are in exceptional condition. I can send you high-res pictures if you are interested.

parts of the US to give you an idea. In

VHF systems for marine and land use, and am very happy to answer any pre- or reasonable post-sales questions you may have. I'd be keeping this
gear for myself if I had any plans to use it in the next five years, but right now I'd rather someone else benefit from it rather than it sit around unused.
