I peeled what was left of the SEL label back and lo and behold!
The button that fell off was just a spacer. The blue button on the PCB behind it is the real switch and it still works fine.

G'day Helmsmatt, Yes, that's what first happened to mine, but I think the sea air has since got inside. Amps and Volts still
work but
batteries start
charging as soon as the genset starts without pressing the charge button, same with the
inverter, and it charges to a higher voltage than it should.
So I suggest that you get some transparent packing tape to seal the opening, stick the little broken off spacer to the tape, then position the spacer in the correct place, and tape right across the opening to seal it off. You can still press the button through the four? layers of tape.
It may save it yet.
