Heart or Xantrex 1000 Monitor

I want to buy a Heart or xantrix interface Link 1000 monitor - for a Heart interface 1000 inverter/charger.
The Select button has fallen off and dropped inside mine.

Re: Heart or Xantrex 1000 Monitor

The same just happened to miine.
the SEL label had been fractured for a while.
I freaked and started looking for another one on line. EXPENSIVE! If you can find it.
I peeled what was left of the SEL label back and lo and behold!
The button that fell off was just a spacer. The blue button on the PCB behind it is the real switch and it still works fine.
Phew!

G'day Helmsmatt, Yes, that's what first happened to mine, but I think the sea air has since got inside. Amps and Volts still work but batteries start charging as soon as the genset starts without pressing the charge button, same with the inverter, and it charges to a higher voltage than it should.
So I suggest that you get some transparent packing tape to seal the opening, stick the little broken off spacer to the tape, then position the spacer in the correct place, and tape right across the opening to seal it off. You can still press the button through the four? layers of tape.
It may save it yet.

Yes, actually did quite a nice repair with a bit of cork glued behind a label made with my label maker.Looks and works as good as new and is sealed up quite nicely.
