Guest Corrosion Meter

Guest 2434 portable corrosion meter with leads for measuring stray galvanic corrosion in your boat and to determine whether you have enough zincs installed to take care of the problem.
New the unit sold for $246 but mine is a couple of years old or so but still works perfectly.
The procedure is to drop the silver anode into the water around your boat closest to the item you wish to measure for galvanic action. The other lead gets attached to the item being measured like a bronze thru-hull or prop shaft or whatever and then read the millivolts on the meter scale.
The meter scale is graduated for each metal - aluminum; steel; or bronze and the color code on the scale will advise you if you are protected or not.
I am selling the complete meter kit for only US$100.

Re: Guest Corrosion Meter

Dang! I just bought an aluminum boat and need a meter. I'm always too late!

I'll be second in line.

Re: Guest Corrosion Meter

** Explanation or what we are listing ***
I may have failed to mention enough times that ALL of the stuff we are listing is from our boat and has been collected over the years when I could sail and cruise. My terminal cancer has ended all of that so we are trying to find a good home for the stuff. Since quite a bit of it is "old," even if it is in its original packaging, and possibly no longer available or made, we thought cruisers might be interested - especially if you had one and now would like to replace your broken one with an exact or near duplicate.

Re: Guest Corrosion Meter

You need to be more careful who you invite on board, non corrosive guests are not that hard to find.
