Re: GROUND TACKLE FOR SALE
Interested in the 30 Kg Bruce and the chain.
What type of chain, BBB, 4G? And what condition? Galvanizing good, any rust?

I do believe I asked first? If it doesn't fit my gypsy I'll give up my place in line.

Re: Ground Tackle For Sale
The chain is galvanized and in good condition. Don't believe there is any rust but would have to remove it from barrel and lay it out to verify. As to type, I'm certain it is not BBB. I'll check for markings tomorrow and get back.

Thanks. I just need to figure out if it fits my gypsy. I believe the critical spec for that is links per foot. 3/8" BBB is 11 links/foot. Individual links between 1 7/8 - 1 15/16 in length outside, about 1 1/8" length inside the link.

I was wrong. The chain I have is a match for your BBB description... 11 links/foot and the dimensions coincide. Each link is stamped with a "W" and occasional links are stamped "ITALY".

OK. Sounds like a fit. Now let me see when I can get to Daytona. I'm in Gainesville, boat is in Green Cove Springs. If you're feeling bored you can always deliver it up here.

Hold that grin. Looks good on you.
Let me know when you're able to schedule the trip. The chain and anchors are in a storage shed I have in Holly Hill, just a block off US #1. It can remain there as long as you would like but I'm not willing to hold it more than a week or so without a deposit of some sort.

Would you consider a bigger fortress x37 for trade. I can pick up today.

Re: Ground Tackle For Sale
A great anchor but believe it's more than I need for my present boat. Of the things I offered, what is it that interests you?

Hey, doesn't hurt to try.
I'm thinking soon, like the next day or three max. Mother in law came today for a visit so this is a great time to take a trip.

I have a Fortress 37 on my boat and it is a big anchor but that's part of my plan A in case of a hurricane. Even thought it's big it's not heavy at all, even for an old guy like me.

Would late morning or mid day Thursday be okay for you?
