For Sale: Force 10 oven for sale

FORCE 10, three burners and oven, with gimbals, for sale. $400.
Located in New York City.

It is in good external condition, ie no real corrosion.
However, the control knobs for two of the three burners have jammed, hence the price. They were working six months ago and most likely only need stripping, cleaning. The oven works well enough to bake bread.

How old and what size?

I believe it corresponds to the American Standard, which would be 21.62" W, 21.25" H, 20" D. If it is important I can double check these measurements when I'm next out there.

The age, I'm afraid, I don't know. The boat, which I've had only three years, is a 1988 but I don't know if the stove is original. It looks better than that, albeit with the two jammed burners.

If you're someone in the area, seeing and lighting the stove would be the most instructive thing.

What is the curved piece in the oven? Does this have the spark button to light it? many thanks still intrested.

Hi, the strange curved thing is an aluminum heat shield that just slots in (or comes out if you want more space). It is used to generate more intense heat ie when baking bread in a Dutch oven. Whatever it does seems to work. I got the oven to 425 and the bread did work.
The ignition button stopped working a couple months back and I went to matches. But I am 99 pct sure that all it requires is me changing the AA battery that powers the sparker. I can check that next time I'm there, no prob.

Stove is easily worth $400.00. I just tried to replace the top grill for my Force 10 like yours and it alone costs $200.00 from Force 10. I also wanted to replace the 3 burners the little disks that sit on top, for 3 they want $360.00. Force 10 does not support their stoves once you own them you are on your own and because they don't support them you would come out better parting your stove out.
