I bought this Wichard 5565 backstay adjuster a few years ago to rig as the tensioner for a removable inner-forestay. It will work great in that capacity as well as a backstay adjuster. I never rigged the removable stay. This adjuster has sat on the shelf in my house since it's purchase. This model features a smooth running rachet mechanism that is very easy to operate. I hate to sell it, because it is such a beautiful piece of marine engineering that I love just simply looking at it. The street price on these usually runs between $1,300 and $1,600. My loss is your gain. This adjuster uses a 1/2 inch diameter pin.
I guarantee this hardware to be in new condition.
Please make sure this fits your rigging before you buy

Wichard Backstay Adjuster Correction

Sailors,
Upon closer inspection I determined that my Wichard Backstay Adjuster is actually a model 5567. That means that the pin diameter is 9/16 or 14mm instead of the previously stated 1/2.

Here's the technical stuff again.
