Brand new never used. Not a scratch on it. Has tools and all hardware still included. It's way too big for my 23 foot Sea Ray or my 18 foot Hobie

Also includes stowaway bag.

Actually, Defender has them "on sale" for $684. I would appreciate a link to anyone who sells this anchor for under $600. And those prices are WITHOUT the stowaway bag......

The last person to advertise an FX-55 on here for $450 had like 12 replies..... this is a steal.

The FX-55 is the 32 lb anchor for boats 52-58 feet (recommended by Fortress). Did you get confused on the model maybe?

I believe that RAM looked at the G-55 model. Which does indeed retail for $399. But thanks for the free bump!

Not to be insulting - but an FX-55 on a 23' boat?

My FX-55 fills up the entire anchor locker on my 40' sailboat. Just the shank, when dissembled is 4' long and the stock is 3' long - that means the anchor takes up 12 square feet of space.

Where do you keep the darn thing?

That's why it's brand new! Haha no insult at all, I was totally waiting for that question. It was an emergency storm anchor for a fishing boat I worked a trip on. End of the trip came and the captain, my "friend" didn't have the cash to pay me. He owed me somewhere in the $800 range, so this was definitely better than no pay!

That is a great anchor...

Last year in hurricane Sandy we anchored on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake and our 60,000 lb 55 ft boat hung on a FX-55 for 4 hours in 60 knots.

If you need a storm anchor this a great choice!
