Dodger - Heavy Duty Offshore Design

The S/S frame has 3-ribs and handles on the rear and both sides. there are flaps with velcro covering all zippers to ensure NO water could enter. It measures 69-1/2 wide and 40-1/2" deep (I have a templet of the base footprint). The zip-on rear spray curtain adds protection from rain when sailing down-wind. the Oyster sunbrella with "strata glass" windows was replaced in Sept. 2010 (costing $2,000) and was in the canvas shop for final adjustments one month before my Swan-43 went up on the rocks. It is NEW condition.

This was a super offshore dodger during my 5-years of cruising

I work on City Island and pass Rye each day and am potentially interested.
Could you explain how the template would work to determine suitability?

Chris, The templet can be laid on the cabin top to see if the dodger shape could be adapted to your boat. It would be a quick check for viability. Call me if you want to stop by for a look. 921-1686 Don

Re: Dodger-heavy duty offshore design

I will measure my boat and see if the Dodger will fit and let you know. Also, so you still have the anchor windless??? I am outritting my boat for cruising and need lots of things. I bought a teak grate from you several months ago.

Re: Dodger-heavy duty offshore design

Hi Don, I did measure the boat and your dodger is going to be too big so I'll probably make one. However, I am interested in the anchor windlass. I will be out of town for a few days and will get back with you when I return.
Thanks
