Diesel Heater to go

I'm cleaning out my garage and found the remnants of Hurricane diesel heater I had removed from my last boat about 2001. Its previous owner was from Canada and I hoped I'd never see any use for a heater in the Caribbean.
If anyone wants to pay the shipping, I'll be glad to box it up and send it to them.
Otherwise it goes in the recycle bin.

Here's a link to some photos taken in 2008 of the pile of parts:

Re: Diesel Heater to go

There is no guarantee that it will work or that I have all the parts. It'll probably take some that is handy with plumbing, etc to get it to work.

The expensive components are there. Now it's just the fun part

Re: Diesel Heater to go

Heading way north and way south as soon the refit is done on the aluminum boat. The heater will now be very, very important.

Re: Diesel Heater to go

Hello,

Saw your post about the heater. I can call a pack-and-ship place local to you and set up so you can just drop it off and they'll handle the rest and bill me.

Would be great to have diesel heat for the Northeast Winter!

Thanks,
Alec

I've accepted an offer for it. I'll keep you in mind if the deal falls through.

Re: Diesel Heater to go

Norm, I'll be in sw Mo in about a week, if you've got other stuff in the garage that has to go. I'll be visiting and traveling with a couple of other boaters from the Branson area.

For the Maryland guy wondering about Florida heaters, I've got a couple in my boat, maybe Florida people like to be able to go up north and get away from the heat. I plan to spend a lot of time up north where my wood stove is mostly useless, so I've got diesel too. I might be in Chesapeake beach, Maryland in a couple months. Jon

Re: Diesel Heater to go

Jon,
I've gotten rid of most of the bulky stuff now. The small items that are left would go in a museum: parallel ruler, dividers, handheld compass, plotting paper.

Re: Diesel Heater to go

Looks like I'm to late to for this bargain. Even the small one is rated at 25,000 btu's which probably put out to much heat for my 37 footer.

NornR, thanks for making this available to some deserving old salt.

Anyone have a Dickinson Newport Diesel heater they just want to get rid of?
