Dickinson Baltic Diesel cookstove

This is the older Baltic model with the 3 inch stove pipe. It came out of my schooner when I gutted the boat for repairs and rebuild. When I rebuilt, I didn't want to lose the real estate I gained, since it was dead center in the boat. Note that the controls are on the back of the stove for an athwart ship mount. These controls can be moved to the left side, if you want to place it fore and aft. It was installed on the boat ca. 1977, and I took it off 2011. It cleaned up well, there is a missing screw head (the the sea rail fits securely, and there is some missing firebrick. It shouldn't prevent it from working correctly, but it wouldn't hurt to put some refactory cement in. I comes with the tools to make it work, two pot holder, and the first stove pipe that screws to the top of the stove. I'll start at $250, but I really would like to see it used, so bring me an offer. Pictures following (and a picture of my boat after the rebuild.)

What's your location? I'm in the Niagara Falls area and I'm in the market for a stove.

I'm in Stockton, CA. Do you know what shipping might cost? I'm sure I could crate it up adequately, but I suspect shipping would equal the value of the stove. I'm game.

Re: Dickinson Baltic Diesel cookstove

Thanks for the response but California to Niagara Falls would be prohibitively expensive to ship a diesel stove. Neat boat btw, I very nearly bought a Gazelle a couple of years ago.

Interesting choice of color. How did you arrive at red? Also, do you have a blog or facebook page where we can see more pics?

Re: Dickinson Baltic Diesel cookstove

Red was the original color that Ed Bray painted it, as was the name. Seemed like a good idea to keep the color scheme the same. It certainly stands out in a crowd! The picture was from the Great SF Schooner race, and the pictures were posted online by the photographer. You might be able to find all the pictures if you google it. (roxshots.smugmug.com) I don't have a blog, but perhaps when he set out later this year we will have to start one. I do have a lot pictures of the rebuild (out of the water for 18 months, then more work in water. The schooner race in September of 2014 was the first time we had all the sails up at the same time.
