FYI, Data Marine is still in business under a new name in Massachusetts. They sell the mast head replacement unit for $750.

I sent our Data Marine instruments to DMI Marine Inc. to get rebuilt and it was worthwhile. The website is DMI Marine, Inc.

If that doesn't work for you I have one that was made by stowe marine. they made direct replacements for datamarine. I'm not sure if this one will help but I can get some pics if you want to try to match it up.
