Danforth compass

Danforth skylight binnacle compass
Removed from boat that I am salvaging. Belong to my father it was a staysail schooner that never saw any water time. Because this site offers so much wisdom from so many wise souls I figured what better place to search for an answer of value so that I can sell this compass.
Near perfect condition. Located in Fort Pierce, Florida

Thanks in advance

Can't put a price on the compass until I get some information from the cruiser forum on what people think it might be worth. I cannot find any information other than it's rare online the closest price I found was $2,400 for one that is at a compass repair facility. I would be willing to ship once I have a value for the compass. Also I will take photos of the actual unit in the next few days. Currently I'm very involved in the disassembly of the schooner. And being that I am A one man show it can be difficult at times.

I can be emailed at beefranchers@yahoo.com

Re: Danforth compass

That is a beauty. I could find:
6" Ritchie Heritage Skylight Binnacle
DANFORTH COMPASS

I'd give them a call:
vikingcompass.com Info
since they took over the Danforth line apparently.

Make sure you take the precautions given by the manufacturer on how to ship.

Re: Danforth compass

Circa 1/2 of new price sound about right.

Depends upon condition of course.
