Catalina 25. I've just sanded the bottom and applied Pettit Horizons bottomkote. Brightwork is refinished. I've had the boat 10+ years and have made many good trips to
Lake Superior and Lake Pepin, both singlehanded and with friends aboard. I put new tires on the tandem trailer when I got it. Some details:
Swing
keel. I replaced the hinge pin and cable shortly after I got it. (The old ones turned out to be in fine condition)
Tall rig
Main sail in good condition with 3 reef points. Working 110
jib. Heavy
weather jib. 150 Jenny. 150 lightweight drifter (Drifter is two years old and the best thing I added, it will move the boat in 2 knots wind)
New
mast and standing
rigging 10 sailing hours ago. The running
rigging is also new.
Pioneer stereo with CD.
Standard Horizons
VHF with command mike in
cockpit.
Pop-top (not for use when sailing) which allows 6 feet of
headroom in the
cabin. This has a heavy vinyl cover with windows and there is also a
canvas cover.
Porta-potti
It had/has a Princess alcohol cook stove. I picked up a non-pressurized two-burner stove, (Origo-type) I got along fine with the Princess but some people have problems with them flaring up. Both stoves included.
Microwave
Inside teak in excellent condition
9.9 Johnson
2 stroke with very few hours. New
motor mount that would support
4 stroke.
I pull it with a very old 4
wheel drive F150 at 55 mph and it trailers very well. Tongue extension makes ramp launching easy.
Alone it takes me less than an hour to set up the
mast and launch and about the same to retrieve it. It is a very stiff sailing boat, we've had it out on Superior in 25+
knot winds. I'm crazy to be selling it but I have spent the last 11 years rebuilding a 38 foot
ferro and don't really need two boats.
I'm asking $8500.
