Since our cruising days are over, we are selling or trading our 24 Caribbean charts, Imray Iolaire & NOAA. If interested, send me a PM with your e mail and I will reply with a list. I prefer to trade or sell as one unit.
We can discuss what you would like to pay or trade. We are in Pensacola, FL and will ship anywhere - You pay shipping.

We started sailing when you used a sextant and charts, so are somewhat dubious about the new fangled electronic stuff. We do have 3 GPS's aboard, +++, but what about a lightening strike? We had one that took out all of our electronics, 2001 at Solomons Island in the Chesapeake. Since we were in a marina at the time, navigation was not necessary, but what if you are between ____________ & ___________. We want paper!

I m dazzled with the response for the paper charts, but also pleased that you are not relying totally on electronics.

My thought was to sell these charts cheaply and clear some space in our storage. Your PMs have really impressed me and I am becoming part of your dream.

I was willing to give them to any worthy cruiser, but then my Dutch heritage prevailed and I thought, HMMMM let them bid it up.....

It will be a major PITA, but we could copy the charts and sell them for what it would cost us to copy. ???? I don't know about copyright stuff.

If anyone is interested in copies, let me know.

I will be out of touch for the next week as we are going to "Deer Camp" to help deal with the over population in the "Bambi" world. I am not sure if we will get internet in the woods, but we will be back on 11/28.

Fellow sailers,
I apologize for stating that I would make copies of my charts. I cannot do this as the Imray-Iolare, (Don Street) charts are copyrighted and it would be illegal. Don Street and his partners went to a lot of work to collect the proper information and publish these charts for sale.

November, 1985 we were anchored at Gran Canary preparing to cross the Atlantic. An old yawl came sailing in, located his place to anchor, dropped his anchor, backed his mizzen and set the anchor. The boat was Iolare. Don Street launched his dinghy and sculled around the anchorage. I got to talk to the living legend. I cannot photocopy his charts.

I have 8 of you who have contacted me off the forum, wishing to buy the charts. I have sent e mails to you listing the charts and asking for your offers.

I could copy the NOAA charts, but the cost would not be much less than what West Marine charges, plus if you pick them up at a store there is no shipping.
