Im in the same marina as the Wanderer and can see her green spars from my boat. (the only ones in the marina). Every time I see her I smile thinking about that damn Captain Ron.

The story I heard, and hope is accurate, (cuz its a good one) is:

The present owner is a guy who did most of the maintenance on the boat. The owners approached him and said that they wanted to sell the boat, and because he had done such a good job, and always treated them honestly, wanted him to own her.

The guy explained that no way in hell could he afford to buy such a boat. The owners said they would make sure that he could!

Seems this boat is blessed with a lineage of great owners.

Virtually every interior, no matter what the real exterior location, is shot on a sound stage with a purpose-built set. Lighting, sound, makeup, hair - every possible craft that goes into a filmed production is much more controllable on stage than on location.

I've shot on boats in the past - think Spuds McKenzie and a boatload of pretty ingenues - and I assure you, it's a bitch!

It will be most interesting to see if anyone considers this boat to be worth more than all the other fifteen on Yachtworld, especially in this present marketplace. Some of these, like the beauty in Seattle, can be had for $100,000 less than Wanderer’s asking price. The specification as written is not very comprehensive either, so it appears to be being offered entirely on the strength of its lineage—which is OK if someone has money enough to indulge in such a thing.

I watch "Captain Ron," periodically, so I'm not putting a damper on the principal; as I say, just interesting to see how it pans out.

That is a gem in Seattle......

After looking at the pics, I would have a surveyor take a VERY close look at that boat before I pulled out my check book. Nothing that a good wood boat guy couldn't fix, but some very scarey spots in the few photos that are posted on the site. I love the Formosa's, and would love to own that one, but I am thinking the decimal needs to move a little to the left before it gets my interest.
