BRAND NEW 110% GENOA

For sale is a brand new genoa, it has been out of its bag twice once where we put it on and then took it straight off the forestay and the second time to take pictures. Its been put up for sale as it doesn’t fit our boat (a slight mix up with the tape measure!). It was made by Hong Kong sails who have a very good reputation and make sails for many distributors worldwide. It was sold to us by B&B Yacht Designs which it the logo it has on it. We would like to get $1500 as this is half its value.

The spec is below
Luff 49'2"
Leech 42'2"
Foot 20'10"
436 sq ft
8.7oz
Webbing, head and tack. Rutgerson SS clew ring strapped with webbing.
Sunbrella on leech and foot (toast).
Foam luff padding.
Triple stitched.
Cross cut panels.
Leech and foot lines.
Draft stripe.
Sail bag.
Shipping price dependent on your location if you are interested we can get a price for you, should be between $50-$100. We are located in Oriental North Carolina, so could deliver within a reasonable distance. I can send you some pictures of it if you are interested.

Re: BRAND NEW 110% GENOA

Hi we had it made for a Passport 40, but as the advert explains the clew is higher than we wanted. Its a really nice sail if fits your boat.

Re: BRAND NEW 110% GENOA

It would be helpful if you told us specifically what 8.7 oz cloth it is made from. There are lots of different sailcloths made these days and their characteristics vary enormously (as do their prices!).

Cheers,

Jim

Re: BRAND NEW 110% GENOA

Dunc, there are dozens of different Dacron sailcloths in that weight. They vary a lot in performance and price... that's why I was wondering exactly which one it is made from.

Cheers,

Jim

Re: BRAND NEW 110% GENOA

Hi
The material is Challenger Dacon, woven in the USA, now supplied by Bainbridge.

Cheers Duncan
