I checked up and duty is 5% then 10% GST of the customs valuation, including all costs to sail the yacht to Australia, customs also include food, marina, maps and diesel costs for the trip. I am looking at my options at the moment and digging further into the final cost. Where abouts in Thialand are you?

Nice Lines

Griff,

I like your boat. Do you have an email or number where I could ask you more questions about it? You can send me a Private Mail on this site, right?

From Bangkok, how's the best way to get down there to look at it?

When was the hull last taken down to glass and inspected for Osmosis? Is there a boat yard for hauling near Ko chang?

When was the last engine overhaul with stainless exhaust?

The feathering prop O/H?

How long is the Thai registration still good for? And can it stay in force after transfer?

I'm in a Freeport zone, but the boats have to be registered out of the country to escape duty, afaik.

Thanks,

Jack
