Oh, the CS who never sailed? Anyhow, thinking my memory has gone by the wayboards, i checked on the Baba construction. Yup, plywood decks in most. here is one article on them for those who are interested(obviously CS is not)
Baba 30

I was not dishing on her ad, just to let folks know that the baba line has some checkered products. Kind of like American Marine products, some are great and some are less than great. Certainly as a boatyard we would recommend Wetsnails and Valiants way before other Archer type boats.

I've been sailing boats for over 30 years my friend. I'm in Mexico now doing a refit. By the way...I lived in Kona for many years and I think I know who you really are. Mr. family owned a boatyard and a physician for 4 decades.

That is a beautiful vessel. If I owned her, every time I climbed aboard I would hear Ziggy-era David Bowie singing "Lady Stardust...." I only wish I had the $$ for her. One of my dream-boats for sure.

You might. We have a ranch down Hana way, next to Lindbergh's old property. Boatyards are in Maine. Use to have some property out in Kohala year ago. Always a pleasure to fly into Kona rather than Hilo. Except for the vog, the Kona airport is protected from the trades and those darn storms that hit the windward side.
