Angry ATTN: Cheoy Lee 48' on ebay

Every one please spread the word on the Cheoy Lee 48' 1980 Perry design in Kemah, TX.

SAILBOAT CHEOY LEE 48' - EXCELLENT CONDITION in Sailboats | eBay Motors

I spend 2k on travel and a survey to buy this boat! There has been two holes in the hull repaired about 4' X4'. The bulkhead may have been rebuilt. The bulkhead is not attached to the hull in a section. Value of the vessel is less than 70K my survey says. Before you buy it, email kayakerz_21@yahoo.com and I will sell you a copy of my survey for much less than you will pay!

I ran for the hills!

Photographs really well, but photographs don't show things like BIG repaired holes (how much water came through that hole?) and detatched bulkheads.

First class example for why to use a good surveyor.

Ya know, if ya wanna own a boat, ya gotta be a DIY'r. A well built boat like this could be repaired with hope, energy and love. One could do it on a modest income and live aboard at the same time. Although, it is not my favorite rig and I don't find her contemporary lines attractive, I'm positive there are many that fantasize about this boat. She would cost a fortune to have her done, but could be a very good buy for that starry eyed DIY'r
