For Sale: Asymmetrical Spinnaker with Pole

Practically Brand New.

I believe the previous owner purchased it in 2000 and used it only a few times. We have not used it but it is in great shape. No holes or patches and good stiching.

Sail dimensions: 38'5'' x 44'3'' x 27'7''
Pole is 15'4''

It is for a 1985 Seidelmann 37
Our mast is 49'6''

Thanks, but we don't know how to use it. We are still learning the first two sails. And can use the money. If we don't think we are getting enough for it then I guess we will have to learn one day.

You will EVENTUALLY love that sail. It took me 12 months to grow the balls to haul up the assymetrical on the first boat I owned that came with one.

Despite the Admiral's protestations, on a 10 kt (apparent) downwind sail, I hauled her up the mast (the sail, not the Admiral) and played with her for half an hour. As I slowly gained confidence, that sail became very useful for downwind sailing. I can't say that you won't have some scarey moments but practice & you will eventually relax. The Admiral never did relax when that beauty was flying but that was her problem.

If you do sell it, you will regret it when your mainsail is flopping around going downwind and those other boats are floating by you with their assymetricals hauling arse.

svstrider has it right. dont sell your asymmetrical. downwind in light air is frustrating if you dont have the correct sail(s). if you use it you will grow to love it. IMHO

Here's a reference for you: Asymmetrical Spinnaker . It would help if you had a sock but you can do without. I did for years and I "ain't no sailin wizzard".

I can't believe it...I just purchased a used one slightly smaller, 1999 sail for $1200.00, and I thought I got a good deal. DO NOT sell the sail!! If you do, you can get a good $$ for it. Sure wish I had seen this last week. My sail has already arrived!~~ Good luck, and keep the sail!!

any idea how to use a Spinnaker pole with Asymmetrical? I don't see diagrams more detailed? using a pole, Mast track, Block on deck, separate padeye on Mast
