I'm in San Diego and have one that I think I'm not going to end up installing. It definitely needs a cleaning and probably a rebuild. What part of the USA are you in?

Re: Aries windvane wanted

Hi Yeti, thanks for replying. I am in South Africa at present, but am coming out in July to collect a boat. I would need the Aries delivering to Afton Minnesota 55001. I would be most grateful if you would put a price on it, let me know what shipping would cost and if you could send me some pics of the windvane. My email address is,: littleretreat@telkomsa.net.
Many thanks, Kevin.

Ah, O.K. I found a USPS calculator that tells me a parcel 30" by 12" by12" and weighing 70# would cost $91 via ground mail and take 2 week. So if we're in that ballpark that's great. Kevin.

Re: Aries windvane wanted

I'll try to get some pics to you later this weekend. I think the shipping is going to be at least $100 and probably closer to $200 based on my recent shipping experiences.

I picked up the Aries for $500 and I have no problem letting it go for that as well. It is a Standard #3 and it did not come with any type of clamps for the mounting tubes. The mounting tubes are shaped like the ones in the link below:

Mounting9

I also have a wheel adapter that was picked up separately. It came to me for around $250 (I think, I know I didn't pay the $400) and can go at that price as well. I actually got it from someone else from this forums and here is the ad with pictures of it.

So, I'm thinking $750 + shipping all together.

If that's no good for you feel free to let me know. The vane is sitting in the back of a vehicle and I will try to get some pictures of it emailed to you ASAP.

Great Yeti, Thanks. I won't need the drum, but am keen on the Aries. Please let me have some pics and we can see how to get the money to you. K.

Re: Aries windvane wanted

Here are pics of the main unit. There are 3-4 wooden vanes that come with it as well as the two mounting tubes all of which I currently don't have any pics of (they're on the boat, vane is in a storage van).

If anybody has any other questions feel free to ask.
