For Sale: ACR GlobalFix 406 MHZ

Unit was purchased in 2005. It is a model 406. I do have the original manuel. The battery should have been replaced in 2009. Unit looks in very good shape. I checked with a local company and they said it was a good unit and the replacement battery would be around $225 dollars. $175.00 or best offer.

Yes it is an EPIRB and no to the GPS. It came with the vessel and I was told it was never used. Previous owners were immaculate in their maintanence.

I do believe I may be wrong about the GPS. . The manual says" "406 Beacon provides distress alerting via radio transmission on 406 MHz to Satellites of the COSPAS-SARSAT network and to the GEOSTAR network that includes GPS latitude and longitude coordinates".

'Global Fix' means it's GPS equipped IIRC.
