Better change the name as soon as possible so all the subscribers who didn't get the magazines they paid for can't seek retribution...........
I foolishly paid up two years in advance.

This will be the most unpopular boat in the anchorage!!!

Re: 56 Formosa "Lost Soul"

Given the legal B/S that is going around i would want to ensure a very clear legal title but i am sure that its been sorted. Nice boat

Try to sell her someplace where no-one has a daughter named SUE--you know, like anywhere else in the world
Nice boat--followed Bob's rebuilding of her.

for one persons point of view. but then there are at least two sides to every story and the truth is often to be found in yet another position.

After reading everything, all I can say right now is Holy Crap!

from the sounds of it, not sure changing a name will help once someone looks into the boats history.

I'm sure everyone from the original Lats & Atts community will recover from the situation.

Re: 56 Formosa "Lost Soul"

Just to let everyone know this boat is not owned by the same enity that has the magazine. The owner is a good friend of the couple who made her the Icon she is. He has been very good to her and is reluctanly putting her on the market. If I can't find a way to own her I will do my best to find the right fit for this beautiful boat. See the boat for what she is and not the situation that swirled around the change of hands of the magazine.

Re: 56 Formosa "Lost Soul"

She should have many updates recently before there bussiness went sour this spring. I saw Bob & Jody last weekend in Everett at the PNW crusers party and there still quite devistated and boatless.

Re: 56 Formosa "Lost Soul"

Bob sold The Lost Soul in Mexico in 2008, long before the sale/demise of L & A.

This information was given to me by Bob in an email last October.

Re: 56 Formosa "Lost Soul"

According to the USCG lost soul is currently owned by this chap:
PAUL DETONI
PAUL DETONI
32600 WEST CHEROAEE LANE P O BOX 1108
WICKENBURG, AZ 85390

I wonder how bad Shannon got screwed on building the bitchin' 56 that clearly Bob could not afford? Shannon is certainly a survivor in the industry and I would imagine did not allow themselves to get too burned.

Can't say I miss the mag. There are enough bikers on land.

Re: 56 Formosa "Lost Soul"

Why would you list someones name and address? Sometimes I feel like even if I sailed away I would not be safe from Internet stalking/ privacy issues.

Re: 56 Formosa "Lost Soul"

Thought that would clear up any confusion as to sold in mexico/ owned by bank, etc.

The USCG database is public domain. I also think some state databases are online also. I'm sure Cayman Is or Marshall Is are quite private.
