Her price has been reduced to 69,900 US$. She is 44'6" LOD and 51' LOA. She has accommodation for 9. Her 70hp Ford engine has about 6,300 miles. She has sailed about 75,000 miles. She is a British Registered Vessel and was built in South Africa in 1981. She is fully equipped for water sailing">Blue water sailing with a water maker, instant hot water, autohelm autopilot, wind generator, solar panels, hydrovane wind steering, Maxwell electric anchor winch, 3 anchors, 120 meters of chain, 3.2 meter Alloy Rib, 8 hp outboard and more. Just tried the link and I could not get to boat. To get to archive and more pictures I went to Browse, Commerce, For sale(no boats), then archived classified, then search Silver Ruffian.
Boat is as stated. Will be lifting anchor shortly to head from Sawini Bay to Vatia Wharf in Fiji. About 27 miles. Will be motoring because its cruising along the coral reefs. Nothing broken yet, but its a boat.

We have been cruising around Fiji for almost two months. 50 more hours on the engine. Getting ready for another day of diving/snorkeling and fishing in Viani Bay with the locally well known Jack Fisher. Has been a very windy year in Fiji and have not gone as far east as originally planned. Everything on boat still working. Have had problems with the autohelm. Very Randomly goes hard to port. Random means sometimes 2 hours into a trip sometimes 5 hours sometimes not at all. The unit gives a warning beep, goes hard left and displays manual. Not a compass problem because it does it in standby. Narrowed it down to the course computer. Just bought a new old one on Ebay. My friend is visiting in August and will bring it. Will install it and update again. Have tightened squeaky fan belts and thats about it . Will post again if anything breaks.

We are still in Viani Bay, vanua levu, Fiji. It is across from Taveuni. Dove the White Wall today. will be in Savu Savu in a week or two.

Bula Pete, Can never swallow the anchor. We have been cruising this area for over 20 years and will go to different cruising grounds with a different boat. Do not want to own 2 boats. Silver Ruffian is perfect for crossing oceans, but am not into that anymore. I am a coastal kind of gal now. Still having fun in Fiji and will cruise her till sold. Not moving around as much as we used to. We have been in Viani Bay for a month and plan on spending September at Musket. Still having fun and not a big rush to sell. Each year we will lower the price for the boat and maybe even get a broker. Glad you made it thru Pam. I read your great write-ups. Really sad about Moondaka. Coming back to Fiji?
