~44 lb. *Genuine* Bruce Anchor

Looking for an ~44lb. genuine Bruce (not one of the knock-offs). If you've got one, please make an offer to sell.

Thanks!

Defender is clearing them out, they are dirt cheap

Re: ~44 lb. *Genuine* Bruce Anchor

I have a 33 lb. Genuine Bruce that I would be willing to trade for a Fortress/guardian (to be used as a stern/row-able anchor.

It is a great anchor but I feel that for my boat it is a bit undersized as a primary anchor. I suspect that you feel the same with your boat.

Good luck in your search for a 44 pounder.

Defender has a few Lewmar "Bruce" marked as closeout however the 44 lbs is listed at $134.00. Brand new, how much cheaper will a used one be maybe $30.00

Lewmar "Bruce" is not a genuine Bruce, not even close.

Get a Manson Supreme. I cruised the South Pacific with a Bruce and then the Caribbean with a Manson. the Manson is a much better anchor.

Re: ~44 lb. *Genuine* Bruce Anchor

I gave up on Bruces here in Massachusetts after our harbors filled with ell grass. But another comment on a "real" Bruce! I have NEVER seen one with a bent shaft although I have seen the knock offs bent.

Manson Supreme is a supremely GREAT anchor. I have an 80#er on my bow.

If he wants a "genuine" Bruce" he may not want an imitation Rocna either.

Re: ~44 lb. *Genuine* Bruce Anchor

I have 15kg, 20kg and 30kg Bruce anchors... all genuine Bruce. The 15 and 20 were made in Belgium; the 30 in the UK. The 20 and 30 have been in my storage shed and have had very little use. Will sell any or all. Would prefer a trade involving a Fortress FX35.
