Thanks for the responses everyone. Still looking as my budget allows, but as was mentioned before I might have to go south to find better deals. Prices in the NW seem much higher than elsewhere.

Can I suggest you start looking and doing your own homework and research rather than have posters fire boats at you only to be told..nah, too expensive, nah, too far north, nah, too much work!

It's quite easy...really. Go on Yachtworld, punch in the type of yacht you like....up they will pop. Now you can choose your desired buying location, your price range( on the control panel left side) and check out what is available and whether you like what YOU see!!.
