Re: 30" Lifeline Stanchions

Yes, I did get in touch but the stanchion bases are welded to the stanchions, which is unusual, and will not work for me - the bases are already bolted thru the deck. But thanks for the tip.

Contact Kim, the owner of Columbia Marine Exchange in Portland, Oregon. Last time I was in there, there were a bunch of them. She could email a pic and dimensions.

Re: 30" Lifeline Stanchions

Hi,
I do have quite a few 1" stanshion post with bronze bases. I do not know if they are what you are looking for. They came from a pacemaker motoryacht with wood hand rails. I have 4 diffrent types of bases with or without posts. I do have some photos of the boat they came off of in my profile albums and more I have not uploaded yet but can if intrested. Let me know if I can hep.
Good luck, happy 4th,
David

Not so unusual. I've never see them any other way. Ours are 30 inches X 1-1/4" diameter. I had to have them all repaired when we bought the boat - all broken in hurricane IVAN. I had 1-1/2" risers made and inserted/welded the old stanchions inside the new bases.

David, I have the bases, the stanchions on the boat are 24" which is too low for safety in my opinion (although not so according to ABYC).
I am looking for 1" stainless for double lifelines (two holes) 30" long.
Thanks
