Re: 2 Burner Kerosene Stove

St Paul Mercantile. They have the Butterfly brand Indonesian stoves. They are cheap as dirt so you can get a spare. They have the pump up type and the wick type.

Here is what I have. Butterfly 2412 Brass Pressure Stove

The nice thing about the pressure type is you can use diesel and it doesn't smell up the boat. If you mount it in gimbals with a pot holder you have a pretty nifty little stove for a sailboat. I always have a spare, too. Thinking about a wick type, though.

There are other pressure stoves that can burn kerosene, diesel, gasoline, white gas, and other fuels, but this one is crazy cheap and is all brass so it looks pretty nautical.

Re: 2 Burner Kerosene Stove

thanks for all the great info guys! I'm not really interested in the Shipmate w/ oven...thanks though. I am looking for a 2 burner that I can mount in gimbals....but I am now thinking I'll just build a gimbaled frame for my 2 pressure stoves that I already have.

That would be the most cost effective approach. Especially good if you are already comfortable and familiar with your two single burners.

Re: 2 Burner Kerosene Stove

I have an Optimus I have not used in 20 yrs, It was self igniting, not needing alcohol to preheat. Will dig in my storage for it if you are interested. Might need a new jet.
