I left a message on your site and have forwarded to a friend in the market...whether he is interested in alu is another matter! If you had been selling in 2006, I would have been very interested indeed...

Are you happy with that helm seat? I am looking for something similar, but I can’t see what make yours is.

What a great, go anywhere vessel, and she looks very well thought out. Good luck with the sale.

Nice boat...

If you don't mind me asking, I'm really interested to know how well the trim tab on the rudder works. I'm probably in the market for a new rudder in the next year or so and if these things work well, I think I'd like try it.

Thanks...

Thanks Alchemy! I believe we connected through email. Let me know if you are someone else. Take care.

The trim tab is an amazing piece of work. With the boat moving forward and the main rudder swinging free, you can move the trim tab with a finger and it forces the entire rudder over. We have a small tiller autopilot (backup to the hydraulic one) that connects to it and does a great job of steering the boat in moderate seas. While we have not done this, you can use or build a windvane to connect to it. I think the best commercial design to work with it would be the Autohelm Windvane.

No, that's me. I wouldn't mind doing a blog post citing your ad as an example of "how to properly advertise a boat". Of course, if you say yes, you'll get two hundred or so metal boat fans reading about it every day....

Yes, that would be like an ad about your ad, but I like your ad as much as I like your boat.

Love it! You are absolutely free to write an ad about our ad! Please do! There are a couple of questions I still need to get back you about but I have not forgotten. Thanks!

You're welcome. I hope it does something for your sale plans. It's unlikely to hurt.

For anyone interested, here's Why S/V Maclas Wrote a Great Boat Ad:
