Unhappy 1962 Hull#13 Columbia C29 MKI

Things changed real quick!
My company lost it's largest contract 2 days after I bought my boat. So with great sadness I have to sell her.

Heres a link to her: 1962 Columbia C29 MKI sailboat for sale in Ohio

Bummer. Same thing happened to me back in '05 with a little boat I bought in Missasauga. Went from big bucks to no bucks in a furrin country. At least ya can't lose too much dough. Great boats, and designed for sailing not taking your house to the water.

Thanks, Blue Crab,
Life's little bumps, I've made it over them before.

Hi Ripples, there was a guy on this forum that was looking for a boat like yours a couple of weeks ago, that was willing to pay a finders fee to find one! Look though the old classified adds in this forum or do a search and you should be able to find him. Good luck with your sale.

Not to be a bump in the road, but.. 4500.00 will not change your life,
The boat will..

Randyonr3,
Thanks for you thoughts, would you like to split the docking fees and all other costs involved? You can use her anytime you want, Oh also half of the divorce cost and alimony.

Ripples, I'm sorry to hear about the misfortunes. I know you were pretty excited about finding that great old boat. From the pictures you shared it looked like a beauty. If you know you're doing the right thing then go ahead and sell. After all it's not the $4500 that'll break you it's the other $10k in parts and upgrades docking and storage that'll hurt when you're in need of some dough. It's too bad you never got to sail her. I was busy working on mine when my back went out again... long story short I've got 2 herianted disks the Dr's never found until now. I've been busy dealing with injections and possible surgery soon. I've got a friend or two helping on finishing the deck painting project and varnishing then I'm calling it good for this year on mine. If you'd like to go for a sail and find yourself in West Michigan or want to make the trip this summer give me a call. I'll PM you my # if you like.
