12v 50Q Portable Freezer

For Sale 50 quart 12V Freezer/Fridge

only 3 months old – costs over $800 new – will sell for $350.
We purchased 2 of these brand new for our sailboat and find that we really only need one and need the space. Located in Puerto Rico now, but will be moving south soon.

Re: 12v, 50Q. Portable Freezer

I might be in Puerto Rico in the next month and would be interested in the freezer if I knew the brand and model.

Re: 12v 50Q Portable Freezer

The freezer is a Waeco/Dometic - and as I said almost brand new. We have the exact same one that we are currently using. We bought 2 and only need 1.
By next month, we will be on our way south - Virgins and beyond. Will you be coming by boat? Where from? Possible to meet up somewhere else?

Re: 12v 50Q Portable Freezer

To my great regret this will be a business trip and will come by plane. Boat is hauled and in the middle of a refit anyway.

If the cooler isn't over 50 lbs I can take it back to the states as checked luggage. I'll check the Dometic web site and get size and wt specs. Do you have the original box?

Should know by next week when I'm coming down and will email you.

Regards

Re: 12v 50Q Portable Freezer

The freezer is 18kg and no longer have the box. It does also have a complete/full insulated cover that goes over it. If I were checking it, I would wrap it again in bubble wrap or something and that should do it. Now, the only problem is that we will no longer be in Fajardo past next Monday. We have been here a few weeks waiting for weather. After we leave here, we will be heading south - USVI, BVI etc.

Your first schedule said next month but then I noticed you said next week.

If you've got a weather window don't waste it waiting for me.

Bet you will find someone down island that would really love to buy the cooler but let me know if you end up longer in PR.

Good luck and good sailing.

We are currently in the BVIs and will be here for a few more weeks. Please let us know your plans when you are closer to arriving here as we are interested in your freezer.

Re: 12v 50Q Portable Freezer

We will be in BVI within a couple of weeks - depending on the weather of course. WE are hoping to leave here on Monday, then USVI then BVI.
We have someone coming by the boat to look at it here today. I will get back to you if it is still available. Thank you for your interest. Marie
