You would think, but that's how I bought mine and was happy with the results.

In Miami area, most marinas are gated. You can't get in on your own. Where you can view boats, they all have a broker's placard on them. I have never seen a "For Sale By Owner" sign on any boat in that area.

In that general region, there are 4 or 5 major selling regions - Ft Lauderdale and north, Miami, Keys, and Gulf Coast. It is a very broad area. It's an area that I would not want to have to prowl to find the best available deal.

You might be right , I might be crazy, but I think it's worth trying. What do you have to lose?
