100' Schooner's Dining Table - Gimbaled, Restored

ANTIQUE AND PROFESSIONALLY MADE,
SAILING YACHT GIMBALED DINING SALON TABLE.

VERY NICE 58" LONG X 28"WIDE X 27" HIGH

YOU WILL NOT SEE ANOTHER ONE EXCEPT MAYBE ON A HISTORIC WORKING SAILING SCHOONER..

BOUGHT IT FROM A NAUTICAL ANTIQUE STORE IN SARASOTA FLA. IN 2002.

WAS IN BAD SHAPE AND THE MAHOGANY VENEER WAS PEELING OFF.

I HAD IT RESTORED AT CONSIDERABLE EXPENSE.

BELONGS IN A MUSEUM. IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.

PLEASE LOOK AT ALL THE PICTURES AND I HAVE MORE.

THERE IS NOT MUCH ON THE WEB FOR THESE TYPES OF TABLES.

I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY AN APPRAISER THAT IT IS WORTH $2500 AND ABOVE. THE ONLY REASON HE DIDN'T BUY IT WAS BECAUSE HE DIDN'T WANT THE SHIPPING COST TO MAINE..!!

HAS STAINLESS STEEL AND CHROME GIMBALS, AND WHEN IT'S UNLOCKED WILL MOVE AND STAY STABLE WHEN HEELED OVER SAILING.

THERE WILL BE NO REGULAR SHIPPING ON MY PART. PICK UP OR ARRANGEMENTS AT YOUR EXPENSE.. OF COURSE I WILL DELIVER A REASONABLE DISTANCE. OR WILL ASSIST IN LOADING WITH YOUR CARRIER.

I AM ASKING LESS THAN I HAVE IN IT AND WOULD LIKE TO SEE IT GO TO A GOOD HOME AND OR SHIP. $1200 Located in the Naples and Marco FL. area.

Put that on www.nantucket.net in the classifieds. Lots of money here; lots of people looking for unique items for their summer homes (and their yachts).

Very nice looking table.....but $12,000 is almost 5 times the appraisers number of $2,500.

It's a steal at that price considering what the Chinese want for a particle board, photo print dining table. It would make a nice addition to anyones home. JMHO

It is a Japanese net/rope water bottle, manufactured in the same way as their famous floats... I put them all on eBay today... Well the 2 water jugs I have.. Hand blown.. and some diver found shipwreck bottles...

Hi, they are antiques.... I don't know old.. I would assume at the Hey-Day of the time the Japanese floats were being used and found all the time on the beaches.. I would say in the 50-60's...??

NOT Repro's....
