Where do you buy porthole gaskets?

Greetings Fountain Pajot Owners! We need to replace a porthole gasket on our 2002 Belize. It measures 10" or 25 cm in diameter. Where do you find a gasket that will fit a FP porthole? Do you order from FP or can they be obtained in the U.S.?

This is the porthole over the galley, so on the top of the cabin roof. Really needs to be a good seal to keep out rain.

Thanks for any info.

Buy from the manufacturer of the porthole.

I bought some appropriately shaped rubber profiles in lineal metres And made my own .. I cut and joined the lengths with a special rubberised "superglue " and they work perfectly with no leaks

Rig-Rite had the seals in stock. Check Goiot Hatches & Ports

Do you have a Belize? If so, attached is some info I collected (Excel file).

Good Luck

Re: Where do you buy porthole gaskets?

Thanks all for the replies and help. I think we never would have figured out the porthole manufacturer or thought to look for it on our own. I like the idea of making the gasket, but until we retire, we don't have the time to manage that, so will order one.

Re: Where do you buy porthole gaskets?

Hi Peteatbeach,

Thanks for the Excel file with details on portholes and hatches. We have a 2002 Belize 43 Maestro. I think I should have said hatch, not porthole (still learning!), but even so, I don't see a hatch listed that matches up with the one we need a gasket for, but I think you have them listed by the size of the hatch, which I didn't measure. This is the small, round hatch in the cabin ceiling in the galley. The gasket looks like it is about 10 1/2 inches. Can you tell me which on your list that one would be?

Re: Where do you buy porthole gaskets?

Hi again peteatbeach

I re sealed my entire Belize 43 in less than a days work .. Abt 4 hours in fact and this included removing and cleaning out the original seal residue .. ( cordless drill with small soft wire spinning brush) It's a very simple and straight forward solution and the entire boat reseal cost less than $100 Aussie dollars .. You might rethink a DIY option when you get the prices for the original seals 😩 good luck with it all
