Re: Water in compartment behind engine

Since you confirmed that the incoming water is salty, the shower is ruled out for the port hull. My water maker is in the stbd ER. It once leaked about 8 inches (20 cm) of water into that sugar scoop.

Re: Water in compartment behind engine

Our water maker is also in the Stbd ER, and only leaks a very small amount of water. We're not having any issues with the Stbd side at this time.

We are hauling in 4 weeks in Grenada for the summer. I have already asked the yard to remove the hard rubber rail on the scoop (though I may do it myself if I have time) and check for any separation or obvious leaks at the hull/deck joint. I'm also going to ask them to evacuate all the water that is in there now and see where we stand in the fall - to see if it might be coming from somewhere else.

Thanks to everyone for providing a variety of thoughts. I will let you know the results and findings when I can.
