Any ideas how I should replace the taps and hose in Cat Tales?

The combination tap and hose has a counter fitting that does not allow the off-the-shelf hose - the newer knuckles do not go down the hole. Also, the combination tap and hose fitting has the water taking two right angles so it can function as both a tap and a hand-held shower. I can't find any on the market at all. The first two pictures show the valve handles and the tap/shower nozzle. The third shows the configuration under the counter, with the valves and the tee to the hose (with the broken outer shell)

Mine also went bad. I never did find a comparable replacement. For the interim, I put in a standard home type set up without the spray head.


Still looking and contemplating alternate solutions.

Our Athena had a similar setup. The operators replaced the two valves and outlet with a standard single lever mixer tap with shower hose exiting out the top. Blanked off the redundant valve hole with chromed plastic plug. Shower hose hangs in bight under sink in tap mode, extends for showering. Works well as you can on/off the shower without disturbing the temp setting. Will try and find piccy.

Couple of years ago I replaced the shower heads on my boat. After much searching, I found this shower head

Also listed on the website is this shower head

It has a push button switch on the shower head to change from spray to stream, and sits nicely in the counter fitting hole.

The guy who runs the business is very helpful,and may be worthwhile contacting him.

These fittings are for Sealine boats, who have dealers in the USA.

This is similar to our tap/shower. The shower hose retracts and the hot/cold feeds are the usual 10mm copper stems. Very neat and works well

Forgot to say that the unit is a domestic one with ceramic valve. Does not drip. You can get replacement shower hoses more easily and cheaper than a marine unit.

That is the key, IMHO, a simple chromed plastic plug would allow the blanking of the holes with ease, and many of the products on the market could easily return existing functionality. I'll look around for attractive plugs.

Hmmm. Been through a few large hardware stores, and no sign of blanking plugs. Any ideas?

Most the hardware stores around here have plugs. But only up to maybe 1.25" or so.

The tap hole blanking plug seems to be called a 'tap hole stopper' or similar when googling. Found some on Amazon. Of course, these were French taps so may not be the same size as where you are.
