The local agent this side of OZ is Roland at TempoSpars in Sydney. I Believe he has a sample setup.

Well that had to be the easiest install I have done for a while. I ordered my Karver Gaff hook. and it fitted the existing zspar car perfectly, so just undo 1 grub screw remove the existing swivel and insert the gaff lock. took longer to fit a messenger line to the halyard and run it back up and re-thread it. SO far looks a neat simple job. The little bit I tried in the marina seems to show that it works as advertised.the proof will be over the xmas break.

Here are the details

BTW The standard halyard ex factory was 12mm and is a snug fit in the 14mm hole. I was already planning on changing to 10mm spectra to reduce stretch and be better quality, should fit better and reduce friction. Worth considering if you go this path

At the time I took the photos I hadn't threaded the halyard. It is now and is permanently threaded through the Gaff lock and attached to the head of the sail with a soft shackle as shown in the images earlier. when lowered the head disconnects and lay flat in the lazy bag and so just have to tie it back so it doesn't slap on the mast all night. Probably rig some shock cord or similar later.

So it is working as a Square Top Main Sail Automatic hook and Un-Hook.
Must be much better than the standard factory sail connector.

Yes I haven't tried it in anger yet, but played in the marina and auto hookup no problem and auto unhook also. So hoping that over the christmas break weather permitting we can give it a good go and report back. My wife couldn't hook up the main at all using the old method, she's not tall enough to hook it up, and I had shoulder surgery just recently so reaching up with my right arm was a struggle.

This along with, intermediate cars, and adding an extra attachment points out along the spreaders for the lazy jacks has made raising and lowering the main a breeze.

I understand that FP now fit the intermediate cars on the Lucia attached with bungee cord. Would love to see a close up photo if someone can share.
