plz? Mine do swivel but the other problem I have had is the blocks can get caught behind each other and then the sheet wont run freely. Would be interested to see the differences in your set up.
I made the one closest to the mast when I fitted the single
line reef (jiffy reef). Works well. I just bought the ring and then made the soft shackle to suit. I have been making a few soft shackles, certainly a useful skill. I have a bag of dyneema rope
in various sizes and some knitting needles. Simple easy and cheap
. I will try and get a photo when the sail is up but it looks basically the same as the photos I posted earlier.
I had tried the block on a stainless shackle but it kept getting stuck on the sail track. You could stay with a block as I think the stainless shackle is the issue, its too stiff and not long enough. The softy is about twice as long and flexible so it allows the ring, or block to ride up on the side the sail instead of trying to sit at the front and bind on the track.
