OK, not a Techno, but how strong is this dyneema turning block???

It is a turning block...
Actually works like a Snatch Block... The turning block swivels open. Never seen one before...

And yes it is Dyneema, double strand of about 1/4" thick, so it is probably massively strong..

But I just do not know the strength, and not a Techno Racer, and what about the Dyneema chafe through the stainless Pad Eye??? Just does not seem right.

I mean maybe a running down-haul on a Spinnaker sheet, but not as a turning block.. Or am I just not Techno enough???

Kind regards, Helia 44 now Blessed with a Saba 50

Basically a soft shackle. If it is 6mm (1/4") dyneema , then the breaking strain should be somewhere around 7 tonnes at least.

I wouldn't see chafe as a problem, it's not going to be moving much and dyneema is pretty slippery stuff.
