new sails

hi i am looking at getting new main sail for my fontaine Belize 43 i am new to the word of sailing so a bit unsure of the process.cloth weights etc. it will be used in the north of Australia for a couple of years then further to unknown destinations. i have had some good prices came back from rolly taker and fareastsails has any one had experience with them.
or can any one tell me where is the best place to get it from.
any advice welcome

I can't help, but am looking at the same decisions in the next few years. Please let us know what you end up buying (cloth weight, etc.).

i have got a few quotes in they all vary a bit in price , cloth,weight and reefing points
once i have picked the one i go with and its on and working i will report good or bad.

there are heaps of good sailmakers in oz and it is a very compeditive market, the main difference is in service and back up.
Which is only an issue if you are racing.
Don't be afraid to get a quote from the big guys like Norths and then tell them if their quote is too high, as they usually price match.
There are also a lot of new high performance/longer life sail cloths too.
If you have the time shop around, you will learn a lot too as good sailmakers are a wealth of sailing knowledge too.
