Mainsail Replacement

Hi All,

I would be interested to know if any Lavezzi owners have been through the process of replacing their mainsail. Our boat is currently in Pittwater, NSW, Australia. In particular any recommendations, learnings and rough pricing info would be helpful. We are currently getting a quote but it would be helpful if any Sydney owners have any recommendations for local lofts.

Cheers

Re: Mainsail Replacement

I've just replaced my Genny with a Fareast one from Hong Kong which cost $2800 delivered to my door for a radial cut 9.9 oz dacron.
I'm pretty pleased with it so far.
If you want to get a local one made try Andrew Chapman at CHPS Artarmon, he made me a great Assy spinnaker.

Re: Mainsail Replacement

I have no experience with cat sails, but Brett Scott of Scott sails has made me a nice staysail and many good sails for friends of ours... all at competitive prices. He's a good chap to work with, and comes down to the Pittwater to measure your boat... very carefully! I'd surely get a quote from him, too.
