Orana 44: Liferaft

Yeloya,

Where did you carry your liferaft (if you took one) on the Orana for your Atlantic trip.

When we picked ours up the life raft was mounted on the starboard side outside the aft combing on that small sill.

We are thinking that under the helm seat is a more sensible alternative.

Any thoughts?

Orginally my life raft was in the cockpit aft bin. I needed this space when I decided to install a genset just before my Atlantic trip and have moved it to the outside edge of the starboard side of the bridge. (this where yours is currently mounted)
Under the helm station was another option but I wanted to keep this space for extra diesel jars that I needed to carry on my way back from Tortolla to Horta.
