Good points we have regular honda now works fine, we don't use gas for our dingy have torqueedo electric or we use our kayaks. We usually float our honda on the dingy while using it so sugar scoops not an issue but i didnt really consider cost difference or efficiency it takes 20lbs of propane to run 24 hours vrs 3 gal of gas big difference in running cost. So for now gas will have to do.

I designed these Boat Stairs a few years ago.

Here the plans for a 3 and 4 step Boat Stair. See attached pdf files.

They are made from Pressure treated wood and I stained them white with 3M black treads applied.

Everyone at my dock uses them now.

Mahes: My wife and I are considering traveling from New Hampshire to somewhere between the Carolinas and Florida for this winter, longer if we like it. We seek advice as to how/when/where it's best done regarding departure windows, ICW or outside transit, nightly stopovers (we're not considering running 24X7) at marinas/moorings/anchorages. We're primarily coastal sailors with one open water (Tortola/Bermuda/NH) experience.

My starboard engine compartment latch (the spring-loaded plunger part) recently broke. The same latch is also used for the cockpit locker. I have been pretty careful about not allowing the hatch to slam shut, but suppose force over time has sheared off the plunger detent.

I have tried WEST, Defender, etc for a replacement. Does anyone have a lead on this or is it strickly a F-P replacement item?

Mahe's does anyone have the measurements of the steering wheel, i know the standard size is 20 in. I am not at the boat for a while and trying to get dimensions for a cover and if the shape is the newer d style or oval style for the Evolution, Thanks in advance. Aloha, Nalu

Does anyone have a contact at Fountaine Pajot for warranty work? I have been emailing up and back to Alexandre Derche about an item they promised to fix but he completely stopped responding to our emails. Anyone else have issues with Fountaine Pajot handling warranty items?

Hi All,

We are posting about fitting a desalinator in this thread - hope that is ok?
Our sailing takes us to remote locations for extended periods of time and the natural water source is not reliable especially if rainfall has been low. A Spectra 200 will fit in the unused space in the port side hull as shown in the attached pic. Use a router to cut a door, hinge it and you have access to a space for a water maker. Works a treat making 29 litres an hour. The mirror image space on the port side has been used as storage for shoes etc. Photos attached of desalinator and natural water source - King George River falls in the Kimberley.

Looking for an original manual for a 2007 Mahe in PDF format would be great and how do you know the boat number? do you use the serial number part of the hull number that is 5 digits?
