Re: holding tanks

Can't answer your specific questions as our tanks were installed by the factory. They are wedge shaped, hold maybe 8 gallons, and are mounted on the bulkheads above the toilets. They are hidden from view by thin fiberglass panels that are PITA's to remove.

Re: Holding Tanks

Same system on our Orana although the modesty panels are easy to remove.

Atlas tanks have many differing sizes and will custom make any size shape.although you might get a price from Multihull solutions for the actual FP tanks (it would be easier) most boatyards/marinas have someone that can install any of them no matter which way you go.

Atlas Tanks are in Kunda Park,Sunshine Coast, been around for years and build great tanks in poly which is plastic welded.

Re: holding tanks

High John,
I don't know if my Belize has holding tanks, were your holding tanks fitted as a standard option?
One of our toilets is pump out & the other has a macerator fitted, both pump direct to sea, if there is a holding tank (I will check this weekend) how do you position the valves for (A) holding & (B) pumping out?

Cheers,

Bill

Re: Holding Tanks

Across the pipe for close and in line for open.

The valve will be close behind the toilet if you have a tank I suspect.

Re: Holding Tanks

Love it.

We had a Mahe first and then moved up to the Orana.

We have modified the starboard hull so that it is just an owners "suite". Removed the midships shower/toilet and replaced with storage, removed the front cabin and converted that to a shower toilet/laundry.

Are you enjoying your Belize?

Re: Holding Tanks

Hi Daniel,
I just had a look at an Orana on the internet, awesome looking boat, my wife has fallen in love with the Helia 44 but very expensive, the Orana looks a good option for a future upgrade.
You sure have done a lot of mods on your boat, did you do them yourself?
The Belize is our first big boat, purchased it in February and had it sailed down to Melbourne and so far we are loving it although spending a lot of money getting it ship shape.

Cheers,

Bill
