Mon Amie, my Helia (hull 13), has under 900 hours on each
engine. I just delivered her to the
BVI and have never had
engine or
transmission problems (never). A few weeks after
delivery, she just finished her first
charter, and the management company is reporting to me that the port-side
transmission is slipping, in which case, they've said they will re-build the transmission.
What could've happened on one
charter to all of a sudden require re-building the tranny? I've heard of a handful of Helia problems, common among most Helia's, but this is the first I've heard (and am now experiencing) tranny issues.
