Fridge Problems

Just purchased a Fountaine Pajot 43 in Pago Pago at the moment.
I am trying to work out how to tighten the bottom hinge on the fridge door which is very loose.
The door is mounted directly on the the glass moulding and the fridge built in with what appears to be the grey 50mm trim surrounding.
I cannot access the back of the the hinge via alternate route
Any ideas would be appreciated.
I am loathe to start hacking into the trim unless I need to.
Thank you for any help
regards
Teresa

Re: fridge problems

hard to say from above inpho
but if it is wobbly against the moulding lift up the seats and squeeze your head in and have a look to see what's happening

Re: Fridge Problems

I don't know the condiguration of your refrigeration, but if the door opens at the front or side of the unit; then, each time you open the door all your cold air spills out and must be recooled. This might be worth the convenient access to the contents, but if you plan to be a cruiser and stingy with your 12V power, you may wish to take this time of repair in order to shift to a top loading refrigerator/freezer that will be much more efficient.

Re: Fridge Problems

the setup on the Belize is top hatch for freezer and front opening door on fridge.
we use an Engle that fits in the locker in the settee and take it out and put under the table in the cockpit for drinks and heavy use this hic serves us well
