Re: FP Owners Club

dtm
This Mahe is still in Sydney Harbour, actually in Middle Harbour. Had a dream sail up to Pittwater to meet up with Reflexion, and a bloody awful sail back over Easter. I plan on doing some modifications to Wayward Wind in August, so if you see what looks like Reflexion in Pittwater this Spring, it will be WW as Reflexion will be up north.

Re: FP Owners Club

Hi Guys, I have been in touch with the FP importers MHS. in Mooloolaba and they are able to help. If you want I am able to obtain an owners list of their known FP owners in the Sydney region, and help in getting a meet togeather in the future at a time and place to suit most.
Please a post here or a private reply will help to gather more names of owners not associated with the importers.

Regards Gordon.

Re: FP Owners Club

Guys

I would be keen to join in a local (Sydney) owners group. I could host a barbi...

As you guys noted there are a few on Pittwater. 3 Mahes, 2 Lavezzi, 1 Athena, 1 Bahia and another Mahe at Akuna Bay. One Mahe is shared ownership I think. I am told there is one Mahe in Brisbane Water (Gosford) as well.

I will be heading north late July but will probably turn around at the Percy/Duke Islands and not go to the Whitsundays. The rally format of the 2011 rendevous does not appeal to me. It just visits all the usual tourist haunts so I am not going to join in. Been ther done that several times.

Cheers
Martin

Re: FP Owners Club

There is an owners event being held by Multihull Solutions in Pittwater, NSW - 16-18 March 2012.
It looks like a fun event set up for any multihull owners. The link on the website has all the information.

Re: FP Owners Club

Seems there are lots of FP's about! the mind boggles with all the exotic names...mostly islands and tropical places. Wonder if Multihull solutions in Mooloolaba , FP in France, or anybody else could whip together a chronological list of FP models since the company's inception? My Antigua 37 came to Australia from Canada under the name of Tango. She was launched in 1993 and her size has been superseded by Athena, and now Mahe. We have named her Sokol, Russian for Falcon. Would be nice to get some historical context. Maybe someone knows more about my boat's past...its like Ancestry.com Would look good as the lead in Post for FP's

Received the new FP magazine and it looks like the next owners rendezvous will be in St. Martin in November (assume the French side?) Anyone working it into their schedule?

Re: FP Owners Club

This week we received a copy of the "Le Magazine", celebrating FP's 30th anniversary. It's glossy and compact - they cover (one page each) Helia, Sanya, the new Victoria 67, articles about quality, positive energy, co-ownership, an advice column from Alexander Derche (head of customer service), and a splash about the 2013 owner's rendez-vous.

Rendez-vous page says (their spelling and grammar): November 2013, heading on St. Barth & St. Marteen Following on the success of the first Fountaine Pajot Catamarans Owners' meeting in Martinique in 2006 and that held in the British Virgin Islands in 2010, let's meet up with the Fountaine Pajot Family once again for its 3rd Owners' rendez-vous at St. Barth/St. Marteen in November 2013... A great opportunity to take part in a few days sailing and to meed with Owners' and the yard's team. To receive the program, contact our team: helene.de.fountainieu@fountaine-pajot.com. tel 33 (0) 546 35 70 40

(On the French part of the page it says Saint-Barth/Saint-Martin so I am sure they mean the French side of the island.)

Mowzer is based in St. Thomas so we may see if we can get down for long enough in November to get over to St. Martin/St. Barth's to join in the fun.

Catherine.

Re: FP Owners Club

Yes Alex's column is very informative about washing and polishing your boat.
It would be nice if he would address some of the more serious issues on FPs which he is very good at ignoring.

Ditto, he is the worse customer relations manager anyone would want.
I wish FP would re-recruit Tierry, he was on the ball!!!

I 2nd that re-recruit Tierry wish. FP cut the customer service cord when Tierry left. It is sad.

Lagoon owners have the same problem over there also.

It's great to sell boats, but its even better when you can support them.

Catalina Yachts figured that out years ago and they are still ontop of their game.

Re: FP Owners Club

When you are saying they are not addressing quality issues, are these actually in the warranty period?

I've only had to e-mail them twice and they responded both times with satisfactory answers. And, for the money, I'd still recommend a FP over any other brand.
