Re: Fountaine Pajot Eleuthera 60

Thanks guys for your recent replies especially tao2 & Mirelos which is great info & it is great that you are both very pleased with your Eleutheras. The 200 mile days will certainly put a lot of miles behind you in short time with the right conditions.

BTW - where do FP put the plate with the hull number on it so I can check it out.

Thanks Cotemar, I knew that I had seen this in the forum before but was not sure where it was located so you have just saved me a whole lot of searching.

All the best,
Steve

Re: Fountaine Pajot Eleuthera 60

I have checked the hull number of the Eleuthera that my best friend has purchased and it is #14 which is a 2006 build.

Re: Fountaine Pajot Eleuthera 60

Not long to go now. We fly out of Sydney tomorrow afternoon for LA in transit to St Maarten. After doing some final commissioning of the Eleuthera, which is now named Rendezvous, we plan to cruise around some of the islands in the St Maarten region for about 10 days. If you are in the area be sure to say hi.

Hoping that the 2 Tropical storms that are in the region at the moment do not intensify into Hurricanes and do not head our way.

It is planned for the boat to do a Pacific crossing in March 2013 to its new home port which will be Port Vila in Vanuatu.

Re: Fountaine Pajot Eleuthera 60

Good on ya OZ. Hope you enjoy the cat as much as we enjoy ours. St Marten is a good place to get work done. They have just about everything there. Mine is in St Lucia. A couple days south of you. And I was in Port Villa Vanuatu a couple of weeks ago. Nice place.

Hope to see you out there to compare notes.

Regards,

Mike

Re: Fountaine Pajot Eleuthera 60

Thanks Mike, I'm not sure if we will get down to St Lucia but I would love to meet up and swap notes if our paths do cross. Will you be on Vivo over the next few weeks? If so what VHF channel do you operate on?

Steve

Re: Fountaine Pajot Eleuthera 60

I'll be on Vivo in november but will probably not get up north of St Lucia more than maybe 100 miles.

PM me and I will get you a slew of info on your new boat. We are only two hull numbers apart so I can get you electronic format manuals and trouble shooting info from the debug issues we went through. Also know area pretty well.

Re: Fountaine Pajot Eleuthera 60

Hi Mike & thanks for your message. We are in St Martin at the moment at Anse Marcel on the dock near the Radison Hotel. We are leaving this afternoon to go for a sail for about 6 days and will be spending tonight at Anguilla, probably in Rendezvous Bay. This has to be the spot for us as that is what the Eleuthera is named I will send you a PM as suggested.

Thanks,
Steve

Rendezvous is now in the midst of it's passage from St Martin to Vanuatu. We will be leaving San Cristobal Island in the Galapagos tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday) and anyone who is interested in following our voyage can find us on www dot bluewatersailingdata dot com

Re: Fountaine Pajot Eleuthera 60

I know this is an old thread but just found it recently. My husband and I have been looking at the Eleuthera and we are wondering if everyone still has the same thoughts and opinions or if it has changed after a few years of owning it? We have not been able to see one in person yet-have only been trying to find as much info as possible. Would appreciate any thoughts or advice! Thanks!!

Re: Fountaine Pajot Eleuthera 60

Since I have my Eleuthera for sale in Mesalonghi Greece, one could expect me to be biased about the qualities of the boat.
I did not use the boat much the last years, but can say that she never let me down. I did practically all the maintenance myself (as ex-boatbuilder) and improved some design details that I did not like.
But then, I have still to find the perfect boat.
A prospected buyer had a survey done shortly and besides minor details that I corrected, the boat was very good condition.
Change of live makes me sell the boat.

So, the verdict is positive.

C.
