Cruising spares

Have any of you liveaboard Helia owners developed a list of spare parts that you feel are necessary for a FP Helia cruising offshore fulltime? Since I live in Dallas and my Helia is in the BVI's, I have never had the time to zen with my boat and develop these lists. I strongly believe in not reinventing the wheel. Thank you for your help in advance.

Re: Cruising spares

So no one has developed an Excel file for Helia spare parts that they can share with the forum?

Re: Cruising spares

I haven't yet had time to put together my list, but S/V Two Fish has a very extensive spreadsheet they put together for their Antares.

Here's a link to the blog post: Tools for boat repair | s/v two fish

and directly to the s/s: http://www.twofishcat.com/wp-content...an-antares.xls

Re: Cruising spares

Starry Horizons,
Thanks for the guide to the tools and parts list for an Antares. I am going to work on my own list by part name, supplier and cost.
In the mean time, I have assembled a folder of PDF files for virtually every component on the Helia that I can find on the web. Toilets to gensets. However, it is 141 MB of info and I don't know how or where to put it to share with the Helia owners. Any suggestions. This is a 56 year old tech user asking a 28 (?) year old tech wizard.
This might be a helpful collection of information for Helia owners.

As long as you have a spare the original will never break!

Re: Cruising spares

LMAO!! So funny!!

I subscribed to this theory when mountain biking because if I took my rain jacket it would never rain. Finally caught up with me this past summer in Moab, Utah. Bought a new rain jacket in Moab, took it with me on the trail, it poured down rain. The jacket must be defective!!
That's why I want to carry spares; so that nothing will break!!
Funniest think I have read on CF in a while.
Thanks for the laugh.

Re: Cruising spares

I've got a few ideas on how we might be able to share that info. I'll send you a PM.
