Hi John,

I was in La Rochelle recently and please see the attached photo, which show both davits and life raft craddle fitted, on boats number 59 and 63.

The one on the far right has a zodiac 6 man life raft in it.

hope this helps

Kev & Jo

Thanks Daniel, kev&jo. Your photos do put the size of the Mahe 36 back into perspective. The stock photos made the boats look too narrow for a tender when both davits & ss cradle are fitted, but as I can see from your pics, there is plenty of room to swing the proverbial "baby" cat.

irie cat made it!!

After a short trip from La Rochelle, irie cat is resting in Fort Lauderdale. She looks great. The delivery was painless and as described. Now a week or so of rigging and then we will sail her to death!! Thanks to Wilmar (Harold), JC and Scott for all the guidance.

Sail magazine. The MAHE has been featured as the best 2008 Catamaran under 40'.

DtM makes an interesting point that a common service stock of parts for a boat which is so popular makes a lot of sense.
The job really falls to those who sell them so please, as owners, advise your supplier, the factory and THIS SITE of the parts you have damaged. A Mahe36 Owners club could certainly help in reducing replacement costs by bulk buying.
Whats the cost of Copper Coating if six boats in one location all want it done at the same time? for example. This must apply to so many things, nav sets particularly, gen sets, etc

To all
Delivered Lonnie's boat-IRIECAT-yesterday to Stuart ( MAHE 49)..great sail and some long motoring up the intracoastal..The more I use them the more I like them !
As of motoring off a leeshore, the twin 20hp will move you ...may be slowly if you have a big sea running but they will.
Propellers: standard fixed blades work well but lot's of drag
Feathering like Max Prop,Gori or Volvo will work as well with very little drag under sail ( and no running gear noise when you are sailing)

Here is the new white salon (instead of grey).
They have now added a window for more ventilation.

News from Willmar USA

Mahe 47 "OPTIONS" with owner Mark on board made it to Antigua last monday after a fast crossing from the Canary Islands .They stopped in Cap Verde and ,I think, had the time of their life .
I spoke with Mark after they arrived and he had only good things to say ( few warranty items )
So he is happy and the WIllmar team is happy.Only wish that we could spend as much time on the water as some of our owners

On the other hand Irie Cat was supposed to be our show boat in Miami. At the last minute we learned that it will not happen as they had other commitments .....surprise surprise.
So we had to fall back on our option B .Luis 's boat " COOL CAT" will be in
It is a 2007 model without the new portholes ...
Anyway we will welcome you all in Miami .February 14 to 18 at Bayside Marina dock C22

Hello, I'm french and don't speak very well, so Excuse me, I can speak a lotabout the firm Fountaine Pajot, and I am very décue by the building site, we do not have any service after sale. The leaders promised to us to occupy ourselves of our boat which is not finished and since 1 year no result. It'"s a pity....

I think what she is trying to say is that she is diappointed in FP as a company, their after sales service is non-existent, the management don't want to know their problems ie that after a year of complaining and them promising nothing has been done to rectify the faults.
I think they already have the boat because if you go into their profile they show a picture of their boat - maybe I am wrong, but whatever she is saying is that they are not happy with FP.

Fountaine Pajot

We are the importer and dealer for the USA of Fountaine Pajot and I must say that the shipyard has been working very closely with us in solving warranty problems. The procedure is to have the repairs details and costs send to your dealer then approved by the yard before starting work.
So far Fountaine Pajot has been standing behind their Mahe and the boats are aging very well with minor problems
